Perhaps this has happened to you:
You are having a pleasant conversation with a friend when the topic suddenly veers towards something that, while utterly obscure, is a treasured subject of obsession for you. Perhaps someone brings up the franchise history of the Los Angeles Dodgers, or…

RE//UNION
It wasn’t until last year that I really grasped the concept of ‘home’
It was at last years Chirstmas Eve service
The church was packed tighter than Easter.
But I brought something to attention.
There many familiar faces in the pews.
Many of them I had not seen in years.
And I realized something.
Christmas is more than a holiday (and forget the presents I knew that...
Man of the House
Little Brother (Age 15/Currently into the wannabemasculine stage)
Dad (Age ??/Well into the actuallymasculine stage)
(Imagine a defiant tone)
Little Brother: Why you in my room!?
Dad: Because I'm your father and I own this house.
Peaks and Valleys
I recently read a little selection about Introverts and Extroverts and the common misconceptions between them. But this ties in later.
Today I woke up late. Again.
But I was rushing to get ready for a party I was hosting.
Nevertheless, the party happened at 12 and we had a great time. But about 2:30 I saw smiles begin to fade and I knew people wanted to leave. I felt like I had been a bad host,...

It's frustrating, really.
This whole growing up business.
Not just ‘growing up’ but leaving things behind.
I’m only 17 and I already have regrets.
What’s up with that?
But I’ve already been over this.
Tonight I went to the Cross Country Awards.
I lettered.
This is a huge thing for me.
This sport has given me so much.
I have made some of the best friends of my life, met amazing people,...

there are people bawling their eyes out for a man who, yes, revolutionized technology and the world (he invented the pc) but they’ve never met him. idol? prophet? maybe. humanitarian? no.
what about shuttlesworth?
he was maimed for what he believed in. (cancer is not qualifying for that status)
don’t get me...

A Days are the reason I cannot wait to leave school.
Cross Country is the reason I want to stay forever.
Is it bad that at 17 I already have regrets?
I wish I had started XC sooner.
I wish I had better time management.
I wish I has tried harder.
Ugh.
The things I take for granted.
I have a great family.
I have a roof, clothes, water, and a Mom that makes the best food in the world.

liveslowdiewhenever:
I have a real problem with being called a hipster for riding a bike. If it was cool to ride a bike instead of drive a car, then more people would be doing it instead of filling the air with pollution and demanding that more roads be built to more and more far and away places that need the absence…
We need more people like this in the world.
Long Day
Got up super early to catch the bus to Sandhills.
Today was Coaches Classic.
The biggest and longest meat of all season.
We arrived at 8:30
