The fence between past and present tense

A Days are the reason I cannot wait to leave school.

Cross Country is the reason I want to stay forever.

Is it bad that at 17 I already have regrets?

I wish I had started XC sooner.

I wish I had better time management.

I wish I has tried harder.

Ugh.

The things I take for granted.

I have a great family.

I have a roof, clothes, water, and a Mom that makes the best food in the world.

I have some of the world’s greatest friends.

I have seen things other people never will.

I’d like to think I was raised well.

I can’t waste my time on trying to change what I can’t and what is

But I’m equipped for that which is to come

And that’s all I can do
